I Think I Can, I Think I Can

While I was up at Rae Ann's cabin I did get a few things accomplished besides admiring what everyone else was working on.
I participate in 2 Block of The Month programs, and brought them out first to be worked on.
My biggest challenge has been to stay current with the Just Takes 2 BOM's.
I love, love, love these blocks, but they are more work than I realized when I signed up.
There are already 18 blocks from the last two months alone.
I feel like the little train who went chugging up the hill repeating I think I can,
I think I can! I think I can!

I was grateful for cabin time without the everyday interuptions, where I could take my time making these 5 blocks.
Three of them were paper pieced, the pinwheels were sewn traditionally, and the Turkey Tracks block even had a little applique.
I must admit, I am enjoying paper piecing more and more.

FYI: Just Takes 2 are replicating many of the blocks from the Infinite Variety quilt show sponsored by The American Folk Art Museum in Manhatten last March.

Love red and white quilts and this one is going to be beautiful.
Just finished reading all about the retreat and it sounds like it was another winner. The stars look awsome and I wanted to ask if they were hard to do?

Your blocks look fabulous. I'm not sure I'll keep going with mine, I feel the need to do a simpler project.
