Lori's Dresden Block

 This month
as members of
The Bees Knees
Quilting Bee
we are making
12 Inch
Dresden Blocks
for Lori Holt
Would you believe that up until now
I have never made a Dresden block before?
Lori taught me how to make one years ago
when we were on a retreat together
nestled in a cabin up in Wyoming.
Ever since then, the block has been
on my to-do list.
I'm so glad she sent this as her
Bees Knees
choice for us to try!
 Lori mailed us a package
with all the pieces cut out
from her
Bake Sale
line of fabric.
Not only does Lori design the cutest fabrics,
she also has wonderful rulers.
The Dresden's were cut
using Lori's Thimble Ruler
And the interfacing already had the circles
drawn from Lori's Circle Ruler
 The block worked up quickly.
I really had fun seeing it how cute the Dresden
circle looked in her Bake Sale fabrics.
Lori provides a step by step
Tutorial on how to make the
over at Bee In My Bonnet
She sent us enough fabric to make two:)
Merry Christmas my dear friend.
I'm so happy we get to be
 Bees Knees together.
 To see more of Lori's
patterns
fabrics
rulers
and tutorials
make sure to visit her
Bee In My Bonnet
website
Everything she does is vintage wonderful.
As you can see from the childhood picture
shown in her banner
she even started out cute.
Doesn't this picture just make you smile?

Beautiful block! Have always loved the expression "bee's knees". Looks like you are all having fun!
