Not Forgotten

I began working on this wonderful quilt Festive Cheer designed by Victoria Findley (Bumble Beans) when I was up at Rae Ann's cabin at the end of February.
It has not been forgotten.

Victoria's version
More details on post 3/8/12

My version.
I'm still paper piecing lots and lots of 3 pieced sections.

1,620 sections to be exact.

Almost there with 90 red wedge/ half hexagon and 90 green wedge/ half hexagon.
Soon, I will be able to start putting the half hexagons into rows.

This has been a fun pattern to work on.
And a great way to use up some of my green scraps.
Maybe I will actually have a new Christmas quilt BY Christmas!

You are definitely going to have a Christmas quilt done by Christmas. By the looks of all those pieces it is going to be a big and beautiful one too!
