When I met with Steph's group last week, it was the perfect opportunity to pin my Baby Chevron quilt.
We met at their church, which has large tables that can be pushed together, creating a nice flat space.
I like pinning on tables, which are closer to eye level, and much more comfortable than getting down on the floor.
I stretch the backing taut, and tape it down with an easily removed Painters blue Masking Tape to hold the fabric in place.
Sandwich with the batting and top in layers, and the quilt is ready to pin.
How do you pin your quilts?

I normally have to pin on the floor - I use T-tacks and tack the backing to the floor taunt and then place the batting and top on it, start in the middle and start pinning.
Having access to tables would be great!

I do the same...on the table, painter's tape, lots of pins. Otherwise I send them out to be quilted. I don't like quilting larger quilts and the floor kills my knees.
I've become a spray baste junkie but your painter's tape tip might tempt me to pins...
Great quilt - looking forward to a finish!

Pinning? Yuk. Fingers hurt, and the pins are always in the way when quilting and have to be removed. Spray basting is the way to go. Holds much better than pins too.
