Quilt Camp

Excuse me, while I leave this morning to attend my very first "Quilt Camp".
I've been invited to join along with the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild as they venture up to the mountains of Prescott, Arizona.
This will be my first time to Prescott, and I'm excited to become more familiar with the beautiful state of Arizona.
And I'm really looking forward to getting to know more quilters.
Even though I am new, and don't know very many people in the group, I'm not a bit worried.
Quilters are always the nicest people, and so welcoming.

It's always a dilemma in deciding which project to work on next.
After moving my bins of fabric scraps to our apartment, and not wanting to move them again, I'm determined to use what I have in my projects.
I pulled out a good selection of red and pink scraps.

With retreats there is always limited space, so I like to have everything pre-cut.

We will be staying at Emmanuel Pines Christian Camp, which I hear is rustic, but nice.
Temps will drop to the low 30's at night.
For the first time in a year I may actually have to unpack my winter coat!

Good for you. I hope you have a great time. I'll be anxious to see what you create using your reds and pinks. I am collecting the same colors for a quilt but have not yet decided on a pattern.

that is a good stack of reds/pinks that you have and I'm sure you will make something wonderful out of them - it sounds like a good quilt group and yes the winter coat might need to come out for this trip! Have fun.

I've only been through Prescott once, many years ago, but it is always lovely to be up in the mountains for a change--Enjoy!
