Since meeting Pat Roche (Pat's Just Quilting)
I am finally getting some of my
quilt tops Quilted
Cross Terrain
has been draped across a hanger
for quite a few months now,
and I'm happy to report a finish :)
Pat always does such a great job quilting my quilts.
For Cross Terrain
she chose an all over wagon wheel design.
Pattern by Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced
Lee offered a free tutorial on Moda Bake Shop
This felt like a free quilt for me
because I used
left over pieces of reds and pinks
from my stash.
I love Scrappy Quilts and using what I have.
The back really shows off the fun quilting design.
For the last few years I have really tried to concentrate
on finishing projects
that I have started .
With the goal of
"It's not done until the binding and label are on" ,
it sure feels nice to have one more quilt
crossed off my list.

Yes Nedra--you should be very proud of this quilt. It is amazingly beautiful. You are awesome and so is the quilting.
I just had a baby quilt done and I am quite disappointed. I wanted to undo it and take it elsewhere but the girls said NO it is fine for a 3 year old to snuggle and watch TV with. I need to bind it. I saw a tutorial on Amy Smarts blog. Looks like for a baby quilt with no curves that I can use a straight binding. Do you agree--or do you always bind your quilts with bias strips? Thanks Nedra for guiding me once again.
I love scrappy. This is very pretty and I think the wagon wheel design is the perfect touch.
I love scrappy quilts and this one is pretty. I love the design you used...makes it look 3-D. The quilting design is perfect for it, as well. Two thumbs up!!
This is a neat quilt. Love the red. The quilting id super on this pattern.
Very pretty - and red is my favorite color. Love the quilting design on this.
Looks good Nedra! I liked that pattern when it first came out and also thought it would be a great one to use up stash fabrics! Finishing projects provides such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment! Good for you!

What a gorgeous finish, I love it! The wagon wheels quilting looks just great.
How gorgeous! And free?!
You know this pattern is a great alternative to the denise schmidt circle one called single girl. I could actually do this one.
