Wool Needle Book

For our August meeting with the Phoenix Modern Quilt Guild, Alyssa brought all of the supplies and taught us how to make a really cute wool Needle Book.

Lessons were given on handwork, and Alyssa really did a great job.

Wool is such a fun medium to work with.

A nice little case to keep all of your supplies together.

Even with so many still out of town and on vacation, we had a good turn out Saturday, with 20+ in attendance.

Alyssa was very organized and a good teacher.
Her instructions were clear and well written.
Thank you for all of your work Alyssa!

If you are interested in the pattern, or kit to make the Needle Case, you can contact Alyssa at her blog Pile O' Fabric.

oh those chairs look so much more comfortable than the hard chairs where we meet! I don't have a lot natural padding in that area and sometimes if I think of it bring a cushion along!
Nice little works in felt!

I need to make myself a needle book. I've got this little thing that's only about 2 x 3 inches with no inside "pages" - woefully inadequate! :)

That is so cute. I think a needle book swap would be a fun idea.

Very cute! Sure beats those old things we used to make out of plastic mesh.

I need one of these handy cases--so do my girls. Now I'm planning ahead but they would make great stocking stuffers!
The adults staying at our house on Christmas Eve fill each others stockings. It must be a 5 dollar or under gift. Homemade gifts are always welcome. Lotions, lip balm, kitchen tools, chocolate have all been given.
The guys participate too--they fill each others stockings with things like Jerky, 22 shells, mini flashlights, tie downs, Taco Amigo gift cards etc.
Makes stockings fun for the adults!
Sorry Nedra--to much information!
