One of the nice things about piecing blocks is that many techniques work well.
In drafting, each square equals a 1/2"
As you can see the A/B square is 2-inches finished.
I like to use the technique where you cut both fabrics 7/8" larger than the finished size.
I cut each square 2 7/8" X 2 7/8"
Draw a line from corner to corner, and then sew 1/4" on each side.
Cut on the drawn line.
And you end up with a 2" half square triangle in two colors.
Each 2-inch section fit very nicely together.

I like making my HST's a bit oversized and cutting them down. Well...I don't really like the cutting them down part but I do like more accurate HSTs to work with. Your blocks look wonderful!
I've used loads of techniques for hst's and I keep coming back to the method you use except when I have to do a ton in the same two colours. Then I'll do the drawn grid on the light fabric to cut apart later. I always do them a bit bigger for trimming.
