I've always loved the art work of Susan Branch. In fact, I just checked out one of her summer cookbooks at the library the other day.
Did you know that within the last month she started a blog?
Yes! she has now been added to my side bar.
Once inside, we are treated to Susan's beautiful photography, travels, recipes and thoughts.
Her style is Vintage, and comfortable.
It feels like you are sitting down next to a girlfriend with a wealth of ideas.
I find myself relaxing and feeling transformed to a peaceful and quiet place as I read her handwritten quotes.
Stash Manicure just did a wonderful post 8/2/11 featuring Susan, where we learn her first beginnings in quilting and stitching.
From her bio:
Susan Branch is the self-taught artist and author of the fourteen (so far) best-selling "Heart of the Home" lifestyle BOOKS all published by Little Brown and Company. From her studio overlooking her picket-fence garden in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, Susan writes and paints about the "home arts" of cooking, gardening, sewing, family, best friends, entertaining and the little things that make life sweet. Her books are "homemade" as in, watercolored and completely hand-written.
