I saw this slipper pattern and thought Texture Magic would look wonderful on the top.
This is an easy pattern and the slippers made up rather quickly.
Sole Comfort by Favorite Things Pattern Designs
First I put the Texture Magic to wrong side of my fabric and pinned it in place. I then stitched a grid system on the front. This fabric made it easy to follow a design for the stitching. I just sewed in between the dots.
Next I applied steam to the Texture Magic side. Within a few seconds the fabric began to curl. Using an up and down movement I went across the fabric until it all went completely flat. Once it lays flat, you know it's done shrinking.
Look how fun this fabric looks shrunk with Texture Magic. I wish you could reach through the computer because it's so fun to touch.
Next I cut the piece out that I needed for the slipper front.
If you want to know how much fabric to allow for your pieces, Superior Threads offers a Conversion Chart on their web site HERE.
I think the bows on the end of the toes are just the right touch.
These slippers are very soft and pliable.
For the bottom soles you use Jiffy Grip, a non-skid fabric.
I also thought they would be fun to put with matching pajama bottoms.
The tops can be decorated with all kinds of fun things.
Texture Magic can be ordered through Superior Theads, or check at your local Quilt Store.

I'm a slipper nut. I usually have 4-5 pairs I wear at any given time and they are all over the house. I have 2 under my desk at home now. Love them. And these are super cute!! The texture magic adds that touch.
