Glamping Quilt

I've added a new word to my vocabulary
in the last few years:
Glamping
"A combination of Glamour and Camping"
For those who desire luxury
with their outdoor accommodations.
True to our nature
 Quilters

 The red ric rack

comfy couch.
Such a warm welcoming spot.
I wanted to

Kim's Halloween Wall Hanging

With Halloween around the corner, Kim (of Nimble Thimbles) finished her wall hanging that she shared during Show and Tell.

A fun design using iron-on applique.

I wish I had gotten the name of the pattern from Kim.
Edit note: (Thanks to Karen) Pattern name Sweet Addictions by Letitia Hutchings for Mount ReDoubt Designs
The design has a lot of creative details, especially around the face.
Every witch should be able to sit on a pumpkin and eat a caramel apple.

Especially when she wears such cute shoes and socks.

What kind of backing do you use to hang your small wall hangings?
I've noticed a lot of people here in Arizona use an additional diagonal piece of fabric in the top two corners, where a dowel can easily stretch across.
Good idea!

White Pumpkins

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love everything about it: the colors, the cooler temperatures, the wonderful smells of soups and stews wafting from the kitchen.
Fall is Pumpkins. Even though I love the beautiful hues of the traditional oranges found in most pumpkins, I have always been drawn to to the uniqueness of white pumpkins.

A few years ago when I was enmeshed in the art of primitive rug hooking, I made
Pumpkin Vines
(size 28" X 63")

Pumpkin Vines is a design by Emma Lou Lais.

Emma Lou has been a leader in keeping the art of rug hooking alive in the United States. I had the privilege of taking several workshops from her when she came to a friends home here in Utah.

White pumpkins are also known as Albino pumpkins, Ghost pumpkins, Snowball, Casper, Lumina, Baby Boo, and Cotton Candy pumpkins.

White pumpkins have the same taste and flavor as orange pumpkins, and can be substituted in recipes.
And if you would like to make this wonderful pumpkin out of recycled white sweaters, there is a free tutorial over on Small Fry & Co.
