I have a donkey quilt my dad's mother and sister made many years ago. I shared it on my blog quite some time back. Mom graphed out the donkey for me and I hope to recreate it. Dad's family were cotton sharecroppers and the "batting" is carded cotton. Those quilts are terrific.

our library also has a soundtrack cd with all the music from the downton abbey tv series. most are instrumental, only 2 cuts are vocals. it's very relaxing and as a loyal follower of both seasons, love the music, too!!!!

so many nice old quilts, these look like they are cared for, I hate it when I see an old quilt tossed over stuff in the back for a pickup for moving things with ropes tied down over it.

Nedra, just absolutely wonderful!! I love star quilts and these two are truly precious possessions! I'm glad the family loves them!! It is sad to see a quilt that the family didn't value!! I have made one quilt with significance - a brand quilt for my husband!
