 Even though I spend most of my day working

in our booth as a vendor,

I still try and take a little time each day

to see the quilts at the Shows.

February Bees Knees Quilt Block

 I belong to a wonderful On-Line Quilting Bee 

called 

The Bees Knees

February is my month (yay!) to have the group 

make a block for me.

I've been busy cutting out 

 scraps into

lots of triangles and squares 

for each bee member.

 I am having them make my

Flying Geese Block 

12" X 12" (finished)

 I hope they have as much fun with them as I do.

 Packages are now in the mail :)

 This has turned out to be my

busy season

for working Quilt Shows.

I feel like I just barely got back from 

Road To California,

then worked Rusty Barn last week,

and now am knee deep preparing for 

AQS that is coming to Phoenix this Wednesday.

My mother used to tease me and 

suggest that

"if I put a book on my head

maybe

I would  learn by *Osmosis"

*Osmosis: unconscious assimilation

I'm wondering if the same process

might work with quilting?

Do you think there is a possibility that

all of those

"WIP's"

(Works in Progress)

or 

the hundreds of quilt ideas

floating in my head
would magically 

get done if 

I put a sewing machine on my head?

Working With Crooked Nickle Quilts

I've been working again this year with 

Crooked Nickel Quilts

at the

Phoenix Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival

Lisa Maki/ Owner and Designer

called me up

and asked me if I'd be interested in demo-ing 

in her booth,

and I said "sure!"

I had a such a fun time last year,

I was looking forward to working with 

Lisa again.

 Crooked Nickel Quilts

is known for originating the technique

of using an 

On Point Fusible Grid

in their patterns.

 For the last few days

I've been demo-ing

their T-Shirt quilt

 This really is the 

easiest

and 

fastest way

 to preserve T-Shirts in a quilt.

You can make the quilt in two sizes:

Twin with 20 T-Shirts

and 

Lap Size with 12 T-Shirts
