I've now finished
putting together
April Rosenthal's
Lone Starburst block
Whew!
Quite a relief to have this
12-inch block done.
I will happily drop it off in the mail today,
where it will head to April's house in Utah.
I really liked the fabrics
April
sent us
in
reds, yellows, grays and teals.
My block will be added with
11 other
Bee's Knees Quilting Bee blocks
heading April's way.
Being part of a Bee is a great way to get a quilt done.
The Lone Starburst really is a
wonderful block.
I finished putting together my
practice block, too.
A nice way to use up scraps.
This one block looks a
little lonely by itself.
At one point
I plan on making more
to keep it company :)
I admit, the paper piecing
was a little challenging at times,
but I was
happy to practice
and gain a little more confidence
in this technique.

this is a nice way to get a quilt done, do one block for some one else but first practice with a block for yourself. I love the look of this block
So beautiful! I've never seen this block, I love it and your fabric choices.
That is a great design and the blocks look fabulous.
What a great block! I really love it. Fun!!
i know it involved some blood, sweat, and tears, but in the end it turned out great.
i love both versions!
