Once a month the women in our church meet together for a little sewing/ quilt time. We take the summer off, so today was our first time to get together since last spring. How I've missed everyone! We're a small group, but we make up for it by lots of laughter and gab. In fact, if we were any bigger, I don't know who could get a word in edgewise!
Ann Bryan brought a tee-shirt quilt she just made for her grandson who lives in Las Vegas.
Ann's name was just in the newspaper last Saturday as a winner of a serger from Quilted Works! Way to go Ann! We felt very privileged to be able to sit by her today, and are all very jealous. I even asked if I could touch her, and she said "Maybe". (tease tease)
I loved the fun border.
When Patti walked in she was carrying the cutest purse. When I asked her about it she said it's from a cottage industry in Switzerland. This company has taken old hand felted wool Swiss Army blankets found in an Armory in 1969 and turned them into purses and bags. They have titled their work the "Swiss Army Recycling Collection". The company can be found at http://www.fair-netzt.de/tag/sattlerei-karlen/lang-pref/en

What a great group. I've said this before but you have fabulous talent in your end of the state. What fun stuff and I'm sure they are all wonderful gals.
Doesn't seem to matter when or where quilters get together you get fun! LOL
Great projects and such a wonderful way to spend your enrichment time
