August is Jodi Nelson's (Pleasant Home)
month for our
Bees Knees Quilting Bee
blocks.
Jodi selected
Cluck Cluck Sew's
Scrappy Summer-
a simple block.
In fact, these go together so fast,
Jodi requested we each make 6.
For our fabrics,
Jodi sent
a cute little packet of 4 1/2 inch fabrics
along with solid strips to make the
4-patch sections.
There were some pretty cute fabrics in there.
I loved the honey bees :)
I laid out the 6 blocks together
to get an idea of the overall look of the quilt.
This is a great way to use up scraps.
Hence the name
Scrappy Summer!
Allison's pattern can be found
And I even had enough fabric left
to make a couple more
4-patch's to send along to Jodi, too.

Oh, I really like your quilt and the quick way of using Charms and 4 Patches. Thank you for the show and tell!!
I like the way the blocks play together and the pic of the quilt. Itr makes me want to rev up the machine.
very nice easy block for sure! that one will go very fast when she puts it together
HI Nedra - Paige's girlfriend mentioned to me that a friend she's known for years is a quilter - I checked out her blog and discovered that she used to be a member of the Bees Knees - do you know Pink Suede Shoes? Guess she doesn't blog much any more, but uses Instagram more. Anyway, thought that was a fun coincidence!
Oh, look at that - I do like that scrappy pattern.
