My sweet friend Ricci just gave me these Mary Engelbreit note cards. With a name like Cactus Needle... This proverb can be interpreted many ways. What is the message you hear?
Well lets see... i think Mary is saying "enjoy the blossoms (beauty) in life and when you come into contact with the needles (hard stuff)...don't wallow in self pity...choose to move on to something better."
I LOVE this little proverb you shared! To me it means that the bad things around us don't need to affect us negatively. We can choose to not get in the middle of things that will hurt us (sometimes).

Love the card - I think Lori has it right, but must chek back to see what others say! Off to try out the rotary cutter - wish me luck!

I haven't heard that before, but boy my brainy friend Mr. Google has many to share. I like the one below:
"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. ~Anthony J. D'Angelo"

Cute... I think it means just that. Especially if you live where there is a lot of cactus... LOL!
I love her artwork. The saying makes me laugh. You sit on a cactus, you won't soon forget...

What a wise saying, what a cute card.
May be I would like to share it on my blog on day. Would that be okay for you?
The saying reminds me of: If live gives you lemons, make lemonade out of it.
I have been travelling the U.S. cactus area in 1980 and ever since have the wish to do so again.
I like desert plants very much.
Greetings from a rather wet country
