This could be called a "free quilt" because everything came from left over scraps of fabrics.
Nothing matches. This is about as random of fabric selection as you will ever get.
I've been saving my scraps for years. This quilt truly mixed the old with the new.
With this entire top completed, why does my scrap bin still look so full? I think I have enough left over strips to make many Mumbos and Gumbos.
I will be teaching this class up at Bryce next February. I am more than willing to offer my leftovers to my class. Do you think they will have plenty of their own, or do you think some people might want to pull from my bin?
Or do you think I should offer bags of leftover strips to who ever is interested? Maybe as a Give Away? I am really happy to share.

That turned out really cute. I bet it's neat to look at the quilt and reminice about where each piece of fabric came from. What a fun quilt. Just having started, I can't imagine having that big of a stash, but I'm sure it piles up fast!
You know quilters, they don't pass up the chance for fabric they don't have even if it is scraps. The quilt has come out great, I love scrappy.

Very eye catching! Love the scrappiness. That should have at least put a big dent in your scrap pile! I have a pie in the sky pattern I've yet to make.
It turned out just beautifully!! I think that you should definitely offer them up in class. Maybe someone might see just one stray scrap that would go great with their quilt. I know that it would definitely make my day if I found that perfect fabric.
I totally love this quilt out of scraps. It makes something useful out of something that wasn't before. Great job!! The economy quilt class is a new technique on doing a nine patch and looks like a checkerboard. Another stash buster. I will post pictures when I get to that point and if you want the pattern, just let me know.

Having them at the class would be fun. You could have everyone bring scraps to trade. Sometimes I get sick of some of my old fabric, and my friend is sick of hers so we swap. Then the scraps may be old, but new to me!

First your quilt is gorgeous! I love it.
Second I think that having your scraps available for your class would be very generous even if they have there own you may have something they don't that just "makes" the quilt for them.

I do love this quilt - the more scrappy the better. I once took part in a scrap log cabin quilt class where everyone cut 120 light strips and 120 dark strips ( there were 12 people in the class) and then we traded strips. It was a bit of work to cut it all but it was well worth it and it made the quilt more interesting.
The only rule was that the fabrics were quilt store quality but other than that- anything went.
Scrap quilting is really so much fun and there are some terrific patterns out there. Your Mumbo Jumbo turned out beautifully.
I am sure whatever you do with your scraps they will be well appreciated. Someone else's scraps are always more interesting than your own!
