Bev, one of our Dixie Divas lives in Logan, Utah during the summer. Yes, she gets to escape the St. George heat.
Bev spends her summer attending many of the performances of the local theatres, and the Logan area has quite an offering. The Cache Valley Center for the Arts is well renown, and there is also Cache Valley Ballet, Chamber Music, and USU plays just to name a few.
Bev said she wanted a "hot pink dressy bag" to take with her to some of the performances.
She made this one using Texture Magic.
The pattern is her own, and Bev said it's a mishmash of other patterns.
Imagine, between the plays, Bev quilts to her heart's content. Sounds like heaven, doesn't it?
I've been offered an invitation to join her at her condo any time I want to make the 5 1/2 hour drive to the top part of the state.
But, I still have a son at home, a job I love, and Mr. Cactus wouldn't be too happy either if I left for the summer.
Although, when the temperatures reach triple digit here in southern Utah I feel mighty tempted.

Just read this post and the last one. I really love the kitchen potholder... really cute. And this bag is just my color. The texture magic must be really fun to play with.
Isn't that just wonderful - I really must track down Texture Magic in Australia!

Beautiful bag from Bev! It's hard to get away when you have family still at home, but like me, we love our jobs - Hugs Natima
Nedra...I love that bag! Tell Bev she did a wonderful job! Good luck with staying cool and comfortable on those super hot days! Thanks for the name of that quilt pattern--I am going to try and track it down. That was very sweet of you to check it out for me!
The bag is cute. Cache Valley in the summer does have lots to do and it is not so hot!!

The bag is great! It's so hot here...I have to keep telling myself we're on the downhill side of the heat!

What a cute bag!
Nedra, tell Bev she did a great job on the purse, but I have to say I love the pot holders. Now another project to add to my list. The chart can really come in handy.
