International Quilt Festival in Long Beach

Yesterday I started a wonderful trip with my Dixie Diva group. We drove from St. George, Utah to Long Beach to attend the International Quilt Festival.

Before arriving in Long Beach we stopped by a few quilt stores along the way.

Our first stop was Quilter's Cocoon in Riverside, California.

Last week Margaret and I had visited this store and I had talked to them about Superior Threads new product "Texture Magic".
Store owner Pagen had already made up a baby quilt using Texture Magic.
She was still putting on the binding in getting ready to show the quilt in her booth at IQF.

Love that Texture Magic.

Ricci being silly as we shopped.
We also stopped by Flying Geese in Tustin.

Last night from 5-9 pm, the Quilt show offered a Preview Night. We had just pulled into town, but we wanted to be able to walk up and down the isles with very little traffic.
Our first stop (of course) was to see Superior Threads booth.

There we observed Bob and Heather Purcell visiting with customers, along with the Annie Unrein demonstrating Texture Magic.
Ryan and Yeimy, Superiors Show Management Team were also very busy ringing up product sales.

Look at all the beautiful colors of thread.
Today we are heading back to the Convention Center to spend the day seeing the multitude of vendors.

But before we left, Margaret brought out her latest Show and Tell. She just made another bag out of the cherry fabric.

I'd love to be there with you and your Divas. What fun you must be having. Did you spend all your money yet? lol! I'd be in big trouble in a place like that.

Julie at Jaybird said she say you and said Hi from you. How fun!! Did you see the Sandy Klop quilt in her booth? Darling. You can see the picture of it at Julie's blog.

Well, keep having fun and I want to hear all about it when you get back. I'm nearly done with the baby quilt too. It's turning out really cute. I changed the pattern slightly and I think you'll like it.

Hugs!
