Can I tell you how much fun this has been? I have loved hosting this Give Away, and thinking of the items I might be able to share with you.
So many of you have been so kind to me this last year that I have wanted to give something back, and this is my opportunity.
You will have to excuse me if I don't respond to the many comments that have come in. Just know I read them all and everyone is being counted.
For today's Give Away I have put together some wools, most that I have personally hand dyed.
There are so many fun projects that you can do with wool. I've observed (and made) quilts that have added wool, along with rugs, pincushions, pillows, bags, framed art, etc.
The possibilities are endless.
I've added in this bag,
Filled with another piece of wool.
I'm also including a wool pincushion. The cactus represents Southern Utah where I live.
OK, we don't have Saguaro in this part of our state, but I think we should because it's my favorite cactus. I would love to have one in my yard someday.

So beautiful! I've been wanting to incorporate wool into some of my projects but haven't acquired any yet--so this is a great idea! :)
How wonderful. I have not worked much in wool. I sewed a lot of my children's clothing and figured wool would shrink (I know I could have dry cleaned or hand washed but there are just so many hours in the day.) I would love to work with wool in a wall quilt.
Wow what a great prize. We don't have wool in our area, and it looks so great to make pincushions and needlepacks. Love you little projects.
I haven't done much with wool yet;) I hear that it's really fun to work with and it's so so pretty;)
When I think of wool I think of yarn because I am a knitter. I haven't used much wool in my quilting but I think it is never to late to try something new!

Can you believe ...that in Sweden we do NOT have wool like you have in USA... in a cold country like mine.. I sure hope we soon will have! I love to work with wool and feel the texture!!!

Wool is something I've been wanting to work with. I did buy a penny rug kit, but haven't put it together yet. I also bought the type of wool to braid rugs and got started on that...that will be a special rug for my sewing room...no muddy boots on that labor of love!

I love saquaros too! There is a lot that I don't love about living in Phoenix, but I do love the saguaros.
Those little scraps of wool are making me so excited! I made my husband and I stockings 2 years ago and the pattern uses small wool pieces. Eventually I will want to make more and this wool would come in handy. Thanks for this week.

I have only recently (shortly before the holidays)discovered the wonders of working with wool and I love it. I have admired some very nice hand-dyed woolens at local quilt shops and at the quilt shows but they have been out of my price range, so I would LOVE to win some. (I have tried to find some wool clothing at thrift shops that I can then wash and use.) YOUR hand-dyeds look absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

I have been on a real wool kick lately, but it's so expensive to buy that my collection is quite small. I have made my own from clothing at the thrift store, but haven't dyed my own - you are so clever!!

I love that cactus! When I was in the US many years ago, I have a painful memory of backing into one of those while wearing shorts. I had been trying to take a photo of another one at the time. Ouch!! I do not think I would like one in my back yard though, we have enough of our own prickly plants in Australia.
Pincushions are a little prickly too, if you pick them up the wrong way. But at least they are not barbed!!!
The wool is gorgeous and soft looking. I would like to reach out and touch it.

Too hot here in TX for wool work--but your dyed wool is sooooo lovely --I would sit in front of the a/c unit and fondle it.
