Ramona's Over The River Quilt

Yesterday, while we met with our church quilt group, Ramona brought her "Over The River And Through The Woods" (by Crabapple Hill Studio).

The original quilt is done in black and white, but Ramona said she loves red work the most.

Ramona is known for her beautiful handwork. Look at this detailed stitchery.
If you remember, last month Ramona shared with us another redwork quilt Black Americana Funtime (see post 5/14/2010)

Great use of reds and whites in the scrappy pieced blocks.
Thank you Ramona, for sharing with us your beautiful work.

Christmas may be 6 months away, but this makes me look forward to the holiday already.

I saw a similar quilt done in browns, but I love the scrappy reds...perfect with traditional redwork! Thank you for sharing photos!

Hi Nedra...
thanks for showing that lovely quilt. That has really been a popular pattern. I have seen so many quilts made from it and I love every one of them.
Are you at the quilt walk?

Love this done in redwork. The one I made is done in black. I've seen it done in green and brown. I think my most favorite is the brown, but I didn't think to do mine in brown--oh well, it's done now.
