Church Quilt Day/ June

Yesterday our church quilting group met together for our June meeting.
Because of every one's travel schedules throughout the summer, we won't meet back again until next September.

I had everyone wave hello to you.
What a great group of ladies.

This month, most of us brought hand work. Lucille brought her knitting. She is making the cutest teddy bears.

By the way, Lucille gave me some tips as I worked on my crochet potholders. They are looking much better! It's so nice to have friends who can talk you through things. Thanks Lucille!

Melissa was the only one who had enough energy to bring her machine.

She is working away on a fun quilt.

Patti did applique work.

Patti said this is one of those projects she will probably be working on for years. There will be many sunflower blocks that eventually go into a bed sized quilt.

Barbara finished the binding of her Block of The Month quilt.

And Barbara even made us real cupcakes with homemade frosting.
Great friends, quilting and food.
Life is good.

I think it is just plain fun to get together with friends to sew...Don't you love being productive and getting your social life seen to at the same time?
