Happy Birthday Elizabeth

We are in Salt Lake City today to be with our daughter Elizabeth on her birthday.
She is a student at the University of Utah and is in the process of moving into a new apartment.

Here she is modeling the new apron I made for her.
Our family loves to hike together. We asked Elizabeth what she wanted to do for her birthday and she requested we go up Millcreek canyon.
We hiked the Pipe Line trail.
This is the view looking down into the Salt Lake Valley.

The spring flowers were all in bloom.

I thought this rock was so beautiful. I'm always amazed when I see trees that have the ability to flourish and grow out of the center of a rock.
A beautiful waterfall along the hillside.
At the bottom, Millcreek was rushing with the spring snow runoff.
After our hike we headed to a wonderful bakery called Backers. This business has been around forever, and has the most wonderful pastries and cakes. The building was constructed in 1910.
We shared some treats.
This was Backer's cupcake display. If you are ever in the Salt Lake area this is a wonderful bakery to visit.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth and Nedra the aprons were a great gift. Looks like one my daughter would like.
OMG the dessert looked wonderful and you would have to walk that hike to eat one. Pictures of the scenery were wonderful.

Gorgeous pictures of od's creation. I wish I could see a rock like that. stunning! And does that sign on the bakery say the daffodils are good to eat? I never tried one in a salad.

The apron is adorable on your daughter.
