My friend Ricci works full time for Superior Threads. Right now is the busy season for trade shows, and she will be gone a total of two weeks. Last week Superior Threads had a booth at MQX in Manchester, NH. This week they will be in Paducah, Kentucky.
If any of you are going to Paducah (lucky!) make sure to stop by Superior's booth and tell her hello.
Ricci and her husband Sam have been married almost 30 years and this is the first time they have been separated this long.
We figured Sam could use a home cooked meal, so we invited him over for Sunday dinner.
Sam loves anything to do with trains. In fact his grandchildren call him "Grandpa Choo Choo". (how cute is that!)
We asked him to bring along his "Mexican Trains" game.
A very fun way to play Dominoes. When you push down on the tile in the middle, it whistles like a real train.
Today the weather was in the 80's. Our flowers are in bloom around the pool. The hummingbirds have been visiting, sucking sweet nectar from each red corollas.
I tried to go outside to take pictures but the hummingbird's left every time I entered the yard.
The bees didn't seem to mind if I stood nearby.
I thought this picture turned out pretty good from my simple digital Canon.

I've never heard of a Dominoes game like that...looks like fun! And the flowers look gorgeous! Isn't that State Fair a fun pattern to make?! It will be beautiful in those fabrics!

Love your bee picture! It's just amazing. Your quilt beginning is wonderful....that's going to be one beautiful quilt.
I like the sound of the game. The photos are great, I wish I could see a real hummingbird one day. The wee quilt is looking lovely.

I love the quilt blocks, they look so fun.
Yea! It will be beautiful, I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! You're the best!
Those schnibbles patterns are cute. Poor Mr. Ricci. I am so glad you took care of him. I know what would happen to Mr. Hive if I left him. We have been married nearly 30 years this year and we haven't been apart very much either.
