Emmy's Favorite

Time to bring out some of my Spring quilts. This is one of the first quilts I made, and as a new quilter I loved working with all the different colors of fabric. Just touching each block made me happy.

This quilt hung on an entry wall for several years when I lived in Draper.

It's from a Michelle Blackhurst book called "Floral Quilts from Grandma's Cupboard".

The pattern is called "Emmy's Favorite".

"April prepares her green traffic light, and the world thinks Go."
(Christopher Morley)

"The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring"
(Bern Williams)

"If we had no winter, the Spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome."
(Anne Bradstreet)
Happy Spring!

I love this quilt!!! And I love the quotes...were they from the book, or did you match them up? I'm going to have to add all of the quotes to my quote book!
