Who Do You Think You Are?

"To know who you are, you have to know where you came from." (Lionel Richie)
This last year has been a wonderful year for a number of reasons.
One of my most enjoyable experiences has been working on my Family History, and the discoveries I found.
I am grateful for a sweet angel named Sue, who has helped me so much.
For those of you who involved in genealogy, you know how addictive the quest becomes. I'm beginning to understand why some of my closest friends have just about put their quilting away, and now focus most of their time searching their roots.
Passion, adventure, joy, exhilaration, euphoria, elation, fervor, intoxication, devotion:
Family History has it all.
My most favorite show on T.V. right now is
Who Do You Think You Are? sponsored by Ancestry.com
And I've just discovered that the show can be watched on line for free anytime.

The most recent episode with Lionel Richie was very moving.
I wept as he learned of the the great sacrifices his family had made. "We are here because of their struggles." he said.
So true for each one of us.
Sunday is a great day to spend time learning more about your Family History.

Great post. We did some researching a couple of years ago and went back to where my Dad was born to learn even more. Fascinating.

Tell Sue hello for us and you are so right this is addicting. Your blog reminds me of the fun St. George times. Thanks for sharing.

I agree - genealogy is addictive. I've spent many an evening on Ancestry.com website with the hours just flying. I've even found some cousins I didn't know while searching. And I love this new show.

I love Who Do You Think You Are! I totally forgot to watch last season and was so excited to find this season online. I've been watching it at my cutting table! :)

Thanks for the heads up about this show. I'll have to check it out. Family History is very addictive. My husband spends almost every day at the family history center due to health reasons, he is unable to work and this has been really a good thing for him and for our family.

I have been getting back into Family History too. Our SS class lets us bring our laptops to research with the help from the teacher. Then I love to come home and continue with the search on Sunday. So many things I want to do each day...quilting, reading, family history, crafting, etc plus the chores (that I really don't want to do) and never enough time to do it all!
