4 Wonderful Years

For the last 4 years we've had a wonderful experience attending many of the Southern Utah University basketball games, watching Caitlyn Sears play.
Caitlyn is the daughter of our good friends Brad and Judi, who often stay in our home when SUU has home games.

Last night, Caitlyn played the last game of her college career.
An amazing young woman, and we've been delighted to watch her skill and confidence increase with each season.
Cait was team captain, and the 5th all time high scorer for SUU.
In the last few months she became the 9th person to reach the 1,000 Point Club in SUU's history.

Cait also earned Academic All-summit League Honors.
Congratulations Caitlyn!

The Sears family.
Cait is from Cedar Hills, Utah, a 3 hour drive away, and her family has attended almost every home game.

Sister Jena is a big #32 fan.

A tearful moment waving goodbye to the crowds at the end of the game.

The 3 graduating seniors received awards and quite a bit of attention last night.

Caitlyn with proud parents Brad and Judi.
Now that I have seen first hand the sacrifices parents of athletes make, I think they too deserve an award.
It's been a wonderful 4 years, and I'm really going to miss watching this talented young woman play.

I love when parents support their children whether it be sports or music in our case...its a commitment!
Thanks for sharing this with us. You should be so proud of her as well as she should be very proud of herself

college sports can be so much fun to attend when you go with friends. Sounds like very good friends that you have opened your house to the family so they can go to the games on such a regular basis. Good luck to Caitlyn now that college is coming to an end.
