The Quilt Show

Have you seen The Quilt Show by Laura Peterson?
Size 108" X 30" (Photography by John Stalowy)
Make sure to run over to her web site to see the details and to read the story of the making of this delightful quilt.
Because The Quilt Show doesn't meet size requirements for traditional quilt shows, Laura has not entered her quilt in the larger shows.
Laura's friends want to know if she used any of them as the models, but she says "her lips are sealed".
Inpiration came to Laura after attending Road To California 2008.
I think most of us can relate to this quilt.
Who hasn't spent time oohing and ahhing with friends at a fun quilt show?

I ooooh, and ahhhh at quilts I see on your and other quilt blogs. :) I don't quilt, but I certainly admire those who do and what they make!

What an amazing quilt!

Am I the only one who thinks it's a crying shame that pieces as wonderful as this are kept out of quilt shows because of size matters??

Thanks for sharing!

The quilts were beautiful- I love the way the solids quilt was quilted with wavy lines- it sure gave it lots of movement.
I also love the quilt show quilt- it was fabulous - I have seen those same quilters at a show.
Thanks for sharing the link.
Warmest regards,
Anna
