Freda's Flowers is the newest pattern designed by my good friend Nanette Merrill of Freda's Hive.
I've been counting the days until I knew I would have a few Blissful moments all to myself.
I think I had my sewing machine set up in our hotel room before the suitcases were even unpacked.
Did you know that with a little adaptability a couch can double as a design wall?
It's a sacrifice, but...I'll be okay....
"Really dear, play 18 holes. There are many wonderful courses here in San Diego. Wouldn't you like to play them ALL?"
I have often listened to Nanette tell stories of her childhood in Pennsylvania and the wonderful example of her mother Freda.

Nanette has been having a retreat with the women in her family, and she has been teaching the sewers and non-sewers alike, how to make Freda's Flowers.
Make sure to run over to her blog and see all the fun they have been having together.

Freda's Flowers are perfect in Bliss! Beautiful, Nedra.
Looks like your having a great time away. I love sewing in hotel rooms. You have a great set up, if Mr. Cactus spends that much time on the golf course just think you will have quilt all done
this is going to be a wonderful quilt! Nanette's patter + Bliss = a quilted dream!
I'm so loving your flowers that are blooming all over the hotel room--what fun. Love the bliss and it is perfect for the pattern.

I just ordered my jelly roll of bliss a couple days ago, but didn't have a pattern in mind, just knew I had to have it. Now I have a pattern in mind! Thanks.
What perfect fabric for the blocks.
I've never sewn in a hotel room but I see that I might have been missing something.
Now this is my type of a relaxing vacation. Love your Bliss fabrics. Freda's pattern looks super cute. I'll hop on over to visit her blog.
