Congratulations Elizabeth!
Elizabeth has worked very hard, and has received two bachelor's degrees:
One in Linguistics and another in International Studies (Emphasis Japanese).
Elizabeth has been a good student who has always loved school. A college education has been her goal since she was a young girl. There have been some difficult obstacles along the way, but she never gave up and continued to work hard.
I am so proud of her!
Jon Huntsman, Jr. was the speaker at Convocation. He is the former Governor of Utah and currently is U.S. Ambassador to China.
We thought it was interesting that the graduation took place in the Jon M. Huntsman Center, named after the father of Jon Huntsman, Jr.
We learned today that the University of Utah is among the top 100 colleges in the nation.
Whooohoooo!
Mr. Cactus financed most of Elizabeth's education, and offered much encouragement, tutoring, and support over the years.
As Elizabeth was growing up she was always interested in a million things. I wondered how she would ever focus on one major because she was the kind who wanted to "do it all". We called her "busy Lizzy" as a nickname.

Congratulations Elizabeth and the Cactus proud parents. How interesting that one of Elizabeth's interests is Japanese! If she is a busy Lizzy, she will be a good quilter LOL!!! I'm so happy for you Nedra. Both of our children graduated from ANU university here in Australia, but they went to an American Community school in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Congrats to Lizzy! Wish we could've been there!
Congratulations to Elizabeth! Pursuing one degree is hard enough, graduating with two is a very note-worthy accomplishment. Much success and happiness to her!
And congratulations to you and Mr. Cactus! Elizabeth didn't become the extraordinary young woman she is without having footsteps to follow in, and the loving support and guidance of terrific parents. Good job and a "you go, girl!" to Mr. and Mrs. Cactus.
Congratulations to you and your daughter. What an accomplishment!
Congratulations to the proud parents and most of all to the one who did it - your beautiful and hard-working daughter Elizabeth!
Knowledge and all the diplomas that you might acquire while studying have one most marvelous characteristic - they stay with you all of your life, no matter how the economy does, no matter whether the stock exchange hits rock bottom, no matter whether your spouse fulfills or not his marriage vows, it is truly something that will be with you for better and for worse and most probably will help you get better faster than any other investment. Good luck, Elizabeth!
Congratulations to your DD. Beautiful happy photos of all the family. Gosh that ring is gorgeous.
Congratulations to Elizabeth and all who have shared in her education - great achievements and I love that ring!
