Remember Junior Prom?

Last night our son Paul went to Junior Prom.

Mr. Cactus and I looked at each other and reflected: "Remember Junior Prom?!"(For some of us our high school years were a little more awkward).
Paul is easy going and just seems to be having a good time.

School dances are always a lot more fun when you go in a group. Paul and his girl friend Mercy spent the day with two other couples. They went to the sports park, shared a picnic lunch, had group pictures taken, and then came back to our house for dinner before the dance.

With it being Valentines night, the group knew it would be near to impossible to get reservations at a restaurant. I offered to cook a candle light dinner complete with trimmings. They all seemed pretty happy to have Mom Food, and especially liked the price. (free!).
I have to add how polite and well mannered this group was in our home last night. It was a delight to be around each one. I told them I would cook dinner anytime they wanted to come over.

Too fun. From the looks of the recipes you put out, you are one fabulous cook and they would be crazy to turn down that offer.

Awe Paul looks so handsome and Mercy's dress is beautiful. I can't believe how grown up he is. It freaks me out. What good mom to go to all that trouble.

What a great idea to have a candlelight dinner at home! This seems a little early for prom though.

That is so nice of you to have them over for dinner. How fun! I'm sure it is something that Paul will always remember. You are so good at showing your kids that you care. Paul looks great and I hope they had a fun time.
