Coach Hodson

On a sad note, Coach Steve Hodson (Southern Utah Women's Basketball Head Coach) has passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer. Coach Hodson is a legend in this area, and known as a great motivator of youth. Recently he told his team to "Not be afraid of the world, not to be afraid of anything." He was a strength to all that knew him. Two days before entering the hospital he gave a free clinic for the youth of Cedar City. In his career he was the only Utah High school coach to win State boys and girls basketball titles.
He was Caitlyn's mentor. She decided to play ball for SUU because she wanted to be able to learn under Coach Hodson.
Our sympathy goes out to the family, to Caitlyn, and all the girls on his team.

Please pass on my condolences to the Hodson family. I know he leaves a legacy of so much more than just one life but all the other lives he touched over the years and that is what everyone would want!
God Bless them and your dd as well.

Nedra: We will miss him so much. He made such an impact on Cait's life. Thanks for always coming with us to her games and being her 'other mother' when I'm not able to come. Please save me any newspaper articles about him. I'm excited for our next quilting party!
