Blogiversary Winners Announced!

It has been such a delight to get to know you, to see your projects, and to share with you the things I love to do.
This blogiversary has been so much fun! In the 5 days of prizes I've had around 2,000 visits, and close to 500 comments. WOW!

Blogiversary GIVE AWAY Day 5!

Today is the last day of my Blogiversary Give Away! Make sure to leave a comment today, because I will close the Give Away at Midnight tonight.

As you know, I love working for Superior Threads. So today is a Superior Give Away!

First you will receive a package of their new product Texture Magic, donated by Superior Threads.

I am loving working with this product and I know you will too.

When stitched to the back of a piece of fabric and steamed, it will shrink the fabric 30% in every direction.

Next you will receive a cone of MasterPiece thread with 6 matching prewound bobbins.

I now piece all my quilts with MasterPiece, which is a 50 weight, cotton thread designed by Alex Anderson.

Annie Unrien has teamed up with Superior to design a baby quilt using Texture Magic. I've included the pattern (generously donated by Annie) "Bubbly Babies" that can be done in either blue or pink.

Blogiversary GIVE AWAY Day 4!

We are now onto day 4 of my Blogiversary Give Away! Make sure to leave a comment so you can be included in the drawing.
I think this post should be titled "Potpourri", because today's Give Away's are kind of a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

First, I will be Giving Away 1 yard of this fabric called "Fabric Hideaway" designed by Becky and Me for Print Concepts. I blogged about this fabric a few weeks ago and had such a tremendous response, that I figured you might be happy to win some of it.

And if you have been following me at all, you know I have a deep illness. It's called "Button Fever" and it's highly contagious.
I've been looking at every fabric to see if it has 'button possibilities" and have been obsessed with covered buttons.
Added into the pot today are 10 of my custom covered buttons.

I knew I had to put in two from the Fabric Hideaway line.

These are from vintage fabric.

And 6 more that just say "summer".

There is a new notion out by Nancy Zieman for Clover called a Stack 'n Store Bobbin Tower.

This is part of today's prizes also.

This helps you neatly stack and organize 30 bobbins.

I notice it will not only hold the metal bobbins from my machine, but also the pre-wound bobbins from Superior Threads.

And last, but not least, I've been making a lot of these 12" X 12" Halloween blocks for my Spooktacular Halloween Swap. Many people have written and wished they were in our group and could have one of these blocks also. Well, today is your day to possibly win one.

Blogiversary GIVE AWAY Day 3!

Today is my Blogiversary Give Away Day 3!
Can I tell you how much fun this has been? I have loved hosting this Give Away, and thinking of the items I might be able to share with you.
So many of you have been so kind to me this last year that I have wanted to give something back, and this is my opportunity.
You will have to excuse me if I don't respond to the many comments that have come in. Just know I read them all and everyone is being counted.

For today's Give Away I have put together some wools, most that I have personally hand dyed.

There are so many fun projects that you can do with wool. I've observed (and made) quilts that have added wool, along with rugs, pincushions, pillows, bags, framed art, etc.
The possibilities are endless.

I've added in this bag,

Filled with another piece of wool.

I'm also including a wool pincushion. The cactus represents Southern Utah where I live.

OK, we don't have Saguaro in this part of our state, but I think we should because it's my favorite cactus. I would love to have one in my yard someday.
