Yesterday we met
with our little quilting group in Mesa.
Even though it's just barely
past the first of the year
we were excited to be together
as soon as possible.
Amanda was the first to arrive,
set up all the tables in our room at the church,
and was working speedily away
on
the most wonderful quilt
I Heart London
This quilt works up quickly.
Made with fat quarters,
the pattern uses a
raw edge technique.
Strips are laid down
in a British flag formation,
and then sewn down on the top.
Once washed, the edges will fray
and be soft.
It's been so fun to see all the London themed quilt patterns
emerge on the market
worked up in
a multitude of color formations.
And over in the corner of the room
Stephanie (Stuph From Steph) sat quietly
sewing rows of mugs
from Bee In My Bonnet's

such cute fabrics
A great way to start a new year :)

one of my quilting groups meets tonight I haven't seen these ladies in about two months as I didn't make the December meeting. Well be nice to see them.

What did you work on?
My london flag quilt was different. But similar. I have a hard time getting into the raw edge. Love seeing Steph with Lori blocks.
