Cosmic Trails

I went over to Ricci's house this evening to see what she and Kate had made with their beautiful batiks.

This piece is from Lun Studio's for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

They had almost completed "Cosmic Trails", a Carol Britt version from the pattern Turning Twenty "Happy Trails"

Ricci found these in kits when she went to Paducah last year.

Kate's quilt

Ricci's quilt.

This fabric will be used for the inner border on Kate's quilt.
They had been sewing since early this morning, and estimated they will have the quilt completed by tomorrow morning. Even with the fussy cutting of some blocks, the Turning Twenty patterns go together quite easily.

That is amazing...the fabric turns Turning Twenty into a whole new quilt. Beautiful.

Those are just beautiful! With that batik fabric you don't have to worry about piecing a mariner's compass type block. How cool is that?
