Dixie Diva's August Night Meeting

Once a month our Dixie Diva Friendship group meets at night. During the summer, we seem to have a smaller group with so many gone on vacation or traveling. Last night we met at Pat Peter's house, and had a "show and tell"

Ricci just finished this as a store sample. It's made with two charm packs that are placed on a grid. The machine quilting puts the top and bottom together.

Melissa brought this cute little bag she just made.

Jan J. just finished a block of the month quilt

Pat Peters latest quilt

Pat has also been working on this block of the month quilt from "Quilted Works"

I love to see eveyones quilting rooms. It's always so fun to see where they create such beautiful things. This is Pat Peters room.

Pat is an amazing applique quilter. She has won many, many awards and ribbons.

Pat has decorated her home in Southwest themes. Many of the quilts around her house complement her decorating style.

I know this one won Best Of Show with the Utah Quilt Guild in 2005

Thanks again Pat for letting me do a trunk show of your home. Again we all shout in unison:"We're not worthy!!"

Really wonderful show! I clicked open every single picture. Thanks for showing these.
The applique is stunning. Does she do any of it by hand? I would think a person could never do anything else BUT that to get all those quilts made.

Wow Pat is something! Words can't describe her technique and ability. Incredible. I made 2 baby quilts like Riccis and I hated doing it. I wont' do that again. I hope she liked it. It comes out cute but I didn't like the process at all. But thats just me.

I love the show & tell. There are some beautiful quilts and what a cute bag! Your beach vacation looked like so much fun -- I'd love to do that some year.

You have a fun blog - I'll check back on it.

Those are some pretty sweet quilts you shared with us. My favorite part of my group is definitely the trunk shows and the group show n' tells.

Loved Pat's sewing room and all of her quilts too!

BTW it's my right foot but that won't stop me from sewing! ;)
