Dandelions Quilt

 I've always been drawn to
Traditional Quilts
and loved roaming that section
of the Quilt Show
at International Quilt Festival/ Houston
 Dandelions
by Kathleen McLaughlin
Groton, Connecticut
Quilted by Debbie Loeser
is a beautiful example of a
Fan Quilt
     Kathleen used
Contemporary and Ethnic fabrics
from
Japan, India, Africa,
Australia and Indonesia.
For techniques,
she wrote:
"Hand Embroidered, hand applique,
foundation pieced, used
Texture Magic
to create orange circles.
I was especially interested in seeing Kathleen's use of
When I worked for Superior Threads
I helped introduce and launch
this product to quilt stores.
A very fun interfacing type fabric
that crinkles up and
shrinks when steam is applied.
Beautiful!
