Each month a member of our
sends us a packet in the mail
that includes fabric with
instructions for a quilt block pattern.
I just finished a Swoon block for
Trish (Notes of Sincerity)
by Camille Roskelley
of Thimble Blossoms
has been a very popular pattern
(and yes, it's on my to-do list)
Trish sent each of us 2 fat quarters from the
Fly A Kite line
by Riley Blake
I really liked the red and yellow fabrics
I got to play with.
Normally the Swoon block is 24 inches,
but Trish had
fellow Bee Member
Lori Holt (Bee In My Bonnet)
draft the block down to 20" X 20"
for this project.
Seeing a dime next to the center section
gives you a perspective of how
large this block finishes.
I learn so much, and gain
great inspiration from the
ladies.

Great idea - must put it to one of my groups!

It's wonderful...love it as a 20" block!
I have seen that pattern numerous times and thought it nice a friend has been making it, I don't know if she ever finished though she rarely finishes a top!
Not only is the block smaller, it looks like there are fewer seams too. Either size makes a great quilt.
