Kathy's Christmas Treats

Are you looking for a very easy Christmas treat to share at a gathering this year? No time to cook, but you would still like to take something festive and fun?
Kathy Smith shared this wonderful treat the other day. The recipe is so easy, and these are double yum!

Picture the mix between chewy caramel, sweet chocolate, along with the salty pretzel. I love the taste of sweet and salty together.

The recipe is a little informal because Kathy told me briefly how she made them.
Christmas Treats
Start with either a round or square pretzel as the base.

Top with a Rolo (by Hershey) piece of candy.
Place in a 250 degree oven for about 5 minutes.
Take out of the oven, and while the candy is still warm, press an M&M into the top.
Place the treats in the fridge until cool (around 20 minutes?) before serving.
They are THAT easy!
Thanks Kathy. I will be making these this week!

Thanks for the recipe! I "might" be able to handle getting something like this made in between everything else that needs taken care of before Christmas!

I have made these at my primary girls acheivment night and with my Valiant primary class. The only difference is we pushed a pecan in the warm rolo instead of an M&M. We bagged them up and gave them to the dad's for a father's day treat. The kids love to make them and to eat them!

Oh YUMMERS! I've never done them with ROLO's...I always do them with just Hershey kisses...take them to our retreat...everyone loves them.

I love this!! Did you know that we named our cat Rolo after these candies? So this would be a perfect treat for us just to honor him, right? Or really just to eat the chocolate.

Cute - and easy! You can also use the Rolos to make "turtles"! Heat the Rolos until soft and push a pecan half into the Rolo - no pretzel. Also - dip the pretzel in melted chocolate and sprinkle with course sea salt! Yummie! Another hint - use your toaster oven if you have one!

Oh gosh, I have had these without the MandM and with a pecan. BEST TREAT EVER. Have fun!

I've made these with Hershey's kisses before and never thought of using a Rolo...that sounds so delicious! I will have to give it a try this year!

Thanks for sharing!

I make those all the time and take them everywhere! They're gobbled up..but I top mine with a pecan rather than the M&M. Good either way!!
