We mailed our 100 blocks to Jane, who in turn mailed back 100 different blocks.
It took me a while to put the quilt together, and even longer to finally get it quilted.
Better late than never.
I now have a finish on my Red and Blue Split Nine Patch quilt.
Binding is complete.
One of the motivations to get this quilt finished was a request by my daughter Amy, who said she would love this quilt for our grandson.
The grandma in me jumped to attention.
I chose "honeybuns" as the overall quilted pattern. I've had several quilts done with this motif and they always turn out well.

ohmygosh, what a beautiful quilt...and a great idea for a swap! A great way to get so many varied fabrics/nine patches. Love the disappearing nine patch pattern, anyway, and this makes it all the more fun! YAY for you to have finished this!
Looks great!! I was in that swap, and have mine as far as making them into blocks. It is such a cheery quilt.

Wow, that turned out so awesome! I still have not tackled my red and aqua project from Jane's swap, but this has given me inspiration! Maybe I'll move it higher on my list of things to do!

I still need to get mine to the quilter's so guess I am ever farther behind than you were! Love the honeybun pattern...will have to suggest it to my own quilter when I finally do take the quilt in to have her quilt it!
This turned out quite lovely!! Love the red and blue--the quilt pattern is great..I use something similar, it is the Kim Diehl circle thing and I love love love it.

Beautiful finish!! I remember this swap with Jane! Terrific quilting too. I love doing the honeybuns pattern too on quilts. You are right always a nice result. She will love it!

Just yesterday I pulled out the bag full of the squares from Jane's swap! Guess I need to get busy! Love the honeybun quilt pattern! I could get my UFO list down to under 80!!

I did this swap too! I have the blocks in a box because it seemed to overwhelming for me. I tend to be a little matchy, matchy, and there were way to many shades of red and teal for me. After seeing yours, I'm gonna do it this week! It looks great.
It is delicious looking, like it would be sweet to taste and tart at the same time. Yummy quilt.
