Meanwhile, with Easter around the corner, I love seeing all the decorating ideas going on in blogland.
Rosina of Rosy-Posy has a great tutorial on growing Easter grass right in the egg.

As if the eggs aren't cute enough, look at the copper wire stands she designed.
I was curious about finding the right kind of seeds to use for this project. I found out you can use either rye or wheat grass seeds that can be found at most local stores. The seeds sprout very quickly, but the project needs to be started about a week before Easter.
Maybe everyone knew this but me: the wheat grass is the same kind used in nutritional specialty drinks.

These are so cute! I love the eggs and the stands. It's great to see fresh, original ideas!
I love your cute Easter ideas. I'm going to try both of these this weekend.
What a fun idea!! Thanks for sharing.

They are so dainty! Love the idea.
Hi Nedra...I love the easter grass in the eggs and I have done that alot. You can get the seed at your local IFA Poultry...it's a fun little project and satisfying for me to see something green after a long winter...the gardener in me craves little green grass!
Those eggs are so cute. What a great project for young children, especially since they sprout so quickly. Try using cat grass. It's super cheap ($1.50 for a 2 lb. bag at the feed store) and sprouts in two days. Wouldn't these be cute with dyed eggs? Thanks for sharing this. I'm on it!
Isn't it so amazing the wonderful things we are exposed to in blogs and on the internet. Such good can come out of using this tool. And such bad. It is amazing how polarizing life is really becoming. There really is no fence sitting anymore. I was just discussing this with my kids last night.
