Pin Toppers

I have been collecting pin cushions for years. My shelves are so full that I'm really picky when I add to my groupings. Something has to really call to me.

Imagine my delight when I discovered the beautifully hand crafted Pin Toppers by Gigi Minor of Pinks & Needles.
Gigi was recently featured in Quilt Sampler Magazine. She is really busy now that she has drawn national attention and only takes orders on Mondays.

Once you go to her etsy site, she shows you samples of her work. She individually makes each pin to order. I splurged and sent in my request.

My toppers came in this beautiful pink box, decorated with a hand made card.

Inside were 5 darling pin toppers, each tied with a bow to keep them securely in place.
Notice the background paper matches the toppers.

The pin cushion fabric also matches the toppers.
Every detail of the order is done to perfection.

I selected Happy Forest Friends Part 2, that came in a grouping.
Gigi sells pin toppers individually, too.

Owls seem to be the rage right now. I love this little guy!

And I can almost hear the bird singing.

These are hand crafted polymer clay pins.

I love them all! And wish I could afford every single one that Gigi makes.
*Note to family: any of Gigi's pins would be delightful for a Christmas or birthday present!

Absolutely beautiful. I've really never seen anything like this before. I probably have been looking at something else, but maybe I've just never had the opportunity. You could be your own exhibit at a quilt show (and should be). I love it. Keep collecting. I'll try to keep my eye out for these beauties in the future.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm lucky enough to have a few that went with a pincushion of the month club. These are so sweet. The attention to detail is fantastic as you say.

These are just gorgeous Nedra, I found some of these on etsy a while ago, then couldn't seem to find them, so thanks for the link. BTW, I ordered some things from cover buttons and I'm having fun already covering my own buttons. Oh no, another addiction, pin toppers and self-covered buttons!!! xo

They are really darling. We saw some cute ones at Pine Needles too. I can see how cute they'd be in a pincushion gift, too.

I wish I could make them as fantastically as she does!! I've recently done a tut on my blog on how to make mushroom pin toppers, if you'd like to come by and have a look!
