Sherri's Visit

Have you ever had one of those friends that you LOVE to visit with, but have a hard time coordinating schedules?
Sherri (A Quilting Life) and I have been trying to find a sewing date for months. Today we were finally able to connect and spend some time at my house working on projects.
Sherri has a daughter getting married at the end of March, so she has been busy! And I've been traveling a lot, and...yes, busy. (Aren't we all?)

We were just happy to find some girlfriend time and to do something for ourselves today. I fixed a nice lunch and we spent time at our machines.

Sherri sews product samples for Fig Tree Quilts. Today she said she wasn't even going to look at her "to do" list for the wedding. Instead she sewed baskets for "Fresh Vintage".
Sherri has a lot of Fig Tree scraps left over from past projects.

Aren't these the most wonderful baskets?

And I have to show you Sherri's latest purse. She has made quite a few of Nanette's (Freda's Hive) Mixed Bag pattern. This one is out of "LOVE" fabric line by Amy Butler.

I still have LOVE on my wish list.

Nanette's Mixed Bag is such a great pattern because it looks good in any type of fabric.
I will show you what I've been working on in the next few posts.

  9. I should get Sherri to teach my bag class at Panguich! She's amazing. Just completely amazing. When I think of how many fabulous women I have met through my hobby/quilting life/blogging, I get misty eyed thinking if I hadn't started this I would not have known women like you and Sherri. Seriously, I need my friends like you and Sherri. I don't know what I'd do without you gals.
