Marilyn Badger's Filigree Quilt

We are very privileged here in St. George, Utah to have award winning quilter Marilyn Badger as a member of our guild. Last Saturday when we were viewing Show and Tell, Marilyn brought her quilt "Filigree" for us to see.
Marilyn made Filigree in a class taught here in St. George by Judy Niemeyer. This quilt was part of a series of quilts Marilyn made for a T.V. show she taped last fall, showing an "overlay look" technique.
She then sent it on to PIQF in Santa Clara, California, where it won "Best Of Show".
Congratulations Marilyn!
We all crowded around Marilyn as she explained her techniques in detail.

For all you longarmers, I took some up close shots so you can see Marilyn's amazing work.

She said she used 15,000 yards of Gold Metallic by Superior Threads.

Thank you Marilyn. What a treat!

Marilyn Badger has demonstrated quilting techniques on over 50 PBS quilting shows. Her work has been featured in many books and publications. She has been an award winning quilter since 1991 and now serves as a consultant to APQS.
