Bow Tucks Tote with Texture Magic

My friend Margaret has been making a lot of items with Texture Magic.
I've already shown you this tote she made. Margaret used the pattern "Bow Tucks" by Penny Sturgess of Quilts Illustrated.

Margaret took the existing pattern and adapted it to use Texture Magic on the bottom and on the pocket.

To mark the Texture Magic with a grid system, Margaret used this great notion "Grid Marker" by June Taylor. It's not necessary to use a grid marker, but it made her work go a little faster.

For the pocket, Margaret stippled the Texture Magic to give it a different look than the bottom.

She liked the tote so much she ended up making two.

This one was a present for her sister in law Susie.
On the bottom of this tote, Margaret added batting in between the fabric and the Texture Magic. It makes the grids have a waffle effect.

I made her one of my covered buttons to make the tote complete.

Margaret has also been making a lot of these little bags as gifts.
On this one she put Texture Magic in every other block.

Margaret's sister Kaye loves cherries, so she made a bag for her birthday.
Look at the wonderful border fabric she incorporated into the bag.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Margaret will be doing next with Texture Magic.
