Ricci's Basket Quilt

I went over to Ricci's house today and she was working on this basket quilt when I got there.
I can only say I AM IN LOVE!!
I love everything about it. I love basket quilts. And she is making it out of Kaffes!! Be still my heart!
And the black and white backgrounds are perfect.

The pattern is called "Going to Market" by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes of From Me & You designs. You can find it on their web site HERE.
Ricci said she used everything from her stash, except the stripe for the handle.
Look at this great "freeway" black and white.
I have plenty to do, and a lot of quilt projects stacked up on my to do list.
But now I have to make this quilt. HAVE TO!

For the handles she used an even black and white stripe.

And cut them on the bias.
I can hardly wait to see how the quilt turns out when she is done.
I'll make sure to take pictures and show you.

    You should have a ball making this beauty. It looks great witht he Kaffe's and black and whites. What a winning combination.

    Wow! I'm not crazy about basket quilts, but love the look of this one. I wouldn't have guessed the designers either. Great use of fabric! Especially like the shape of the baskets. Thanks for sharing! Good luck planning your quilt.

    What a fabulous design! The pattern is fantastic and I just love it in the Kaffes as well. But I have to say that I have a fondness for the black and whites.

    Hey Nedra....wonderful baskets! Though none of those fabrics are in my stash....I love it! I'll look forward to seeing our progress on these beauties! Gosh even just one big block would make a great pillow!
