Don't you love it when you get your projects back from the quilter? It's so rewarding to see how the stitching has made the quilt "complete". Well almost. There is still the binding and labels to think about. Sometimes I get a quilt back and it sits for a while before I finally get around to working on those last two parts. I don't know why I procrastinate. Maybe it's because the job doesn't seem as creative as the beginning constructions of a quilt. It could also be blamed on my "Quilters ADD".
The last few weeks I have receive 4 quilts back. I've nearly broken my arm patting myself on the back because 3 of them are are now bound and have labels. They no longer
haunt me, or call to me saying "Come find me. I'm here tucked in the corner, and you haven't finished with me yet."
(We won't talk about quilt #4 because I can still hear it's little tiny voice whining about being left out of the group)
I decided to use a red for the binding for the "Cracker" quilt.
I promise #4: Your next.
great way to start the year!
ReplyDeleteI'm ohhhing and ahhhing. Always.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts! Getting them bound is the best feeling. I love the quilt label. Do you put them on all of your quilts? I need to start doing that.
ReplyDeleteNedra, we must be on the same schedule - I have been doing nothing but sewing on binding now for days. I have done about 8 of them and have another 3 to go. They are going on my blog soon too. I still have 2 coming back from the quilter. This doesn't include all the UFO's waiting to be quilted! I'm on a roll!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! I'm sure you're so happy to have three of them done!
ReplyDeleteThe quilts please me to look at them....your cracker looks great....mine is still in pieces..I'll get to it though!
ReplyDeleteHow good of you to get bindings and labels on so quickly...I've got a pile that just isn't moving! (Although I did bind three quilts last week...there are still about 6 in the pile)!
