Last year when it was my turn to host the
Bees Knees
Quilting Bee
I selected
for my block.
I sent the fabric and pattern to everyone in the group.
And little by little over the months
the blocks trickled in.
I needed 25 blocks total for the quilt
with 11 Bee's Knees helping out,
so I rummaged through my scrap piles
and finished up the extra blocks
here and there.
Then the blocks sat
(even though I love, love, love this quilt)
Now that it's time to begin another
Bees Knees year,
I figured I'd better get going and
finish up last years project
before starting on the the new.
One of the things I did with my blocks
was have each Bees Knee member
sign their name
so I would have a remembrance of
working together.
Sherri McConnell (A Quilting Life)
and
Amy Smart (Diary of A Quilter)
were our Queen Bee Leaders
and brought all of us together.
There were some pretty talented lady's
in our group.
Amy Ellis (Amy's Creative Side)
Amy Webb (Amy Lou Who)
With 3 Amy's in the group
I was feeling a little left out that my name wasn't Amy, too.
It was soothing to know
that at least I was smart enough to name
daughter #2 Amy :)
Shari Butler (Doohickey Designs)
made our cute logo and Bee Button
Erica Bartlett (Pink Suede Shoes)
There were also blocks from
Trish Poolson (Notes of Sincerity)
and
Sinta Borland (Pink Pincushion)
but I'm having camera issues
and couldn't get a few pics to download
sorry ladies :(
I appreciate your blocks too!
Hopefully in the next few days
I will have my Spin Cycle Top all put together.
I really love this quilt!

such pretty blocks you will have a fantastic quilt - so nice that you though to have all write their names on them - and even though you are not an Amy - isn't it nice to have a unique name "Nedra" - I know of no other!
