During the last year I've worked a little bit here and a little bit there on vintage embroidery blocks.
So relaxing to sit and stitch with some handwork.
Lucky Duck has been placed up on the design wall next to the others.
I think I like his little sailor hat the best.
I now have a total of 18 completed blocks.
I've been taking my time.
No rush.
Eventually these will all be placed together in a quilt for my grandbabies.
This quilt keeps growing in size as I find more vintage embroidery patterns.
Some are just too sweet to be left out.
Those lucky duckys are so cute, along with the scotty dog, the kittens, I like the goldfish bowl, what a great gift for the grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteThese embroideries are adorable! What a treasure to share!

What a great collection. Nice work, as always.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing these patterns in Mom's pattern drawer. I did quite a bit of this type of embroider on dish towels.
ReplyDeleteGrandma was a firm believer that ones hands should always be busy. At 84 Mom always has some knitting or crocheting to do while she watches TV. What a great example!
These blocks are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteYou have been very busy! Ditto to all the above comments - CUTE CUTE CUTE!
